Severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening ahead of an approaching cold front. The primary concerns will be for damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to quarter size, but a tornado can’t be ruled out.
Showers and storms build in from west to east as a cold front approaches. Some storms could be strong, especially west of the Mississippi River. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to mid 60s.
