The Gulfport Police Department arrested four individuals on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and drug trafficking, following a shooting incident early Saturday morning.
At approximately 4:17 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of 19th Street. When officers arrived, they found a victim who had been shot in the leg.
As officers cleared the house, they found 35-year-old Tedric Antonio Owens hiding under a bed with a gun. Owens resisted arrest and assaulted a K9 officer during his apprehension.
A second victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, was transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle and later airlifted to another hospital, where they are currently in stable condition.
The suspects, all from South Carolina, were renting an Airbnb at the time of the incident. During a search of the house and a vehicle, officers discovered three guns — two of which were reported stolen — along with approximately 174 grams of marijuana, 1,011 dosage units of MDMA, and 84 grams of cocaine.
The arrested individuals and their charges are as follows:
- Tedric Antonio Owens, 35: Two counts of aggravated assault, one count of assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
- Christopher Emanuel Reese, 34: One count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

- Laquavius Deshaun Wortherly, 36: One count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
All suspects were transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where they are being held pending bonds set by Judge Patano.
