Gabbi Ferreri

On Memorial Day, a five-year-old Pascagoula died after possibly downing at Flint Creek.

Brooklyn Moore, the little girl, was unresponsive when she was pulled from the water yesterday.

Wiggins Fire Chief Jody Hatten told WLOX the child was not with her parents and was visiting Flint Creek with friends of the family.

First responders rushed to the water’s edge Monday around 6 p.m., to the little girl. They performed CPR and other life-saving measures in an effort to save Brooklyn’s life. She was then flown to USA Medical Center in Mobile, where she passed away early Tuesday morning, said Wiggins Police Chief Jeff Thomas.
