At approximately 2:16 p.m., on July 31, multiple fire units with the Greenville Fire Department were dispatched to a residential house fire on Airdale Drive. Responding units included Rescue 2, Engine 6, Engine 1, Command 1, and Command 2.
Fire Chief Brown was the first to arrive on the scene and confirmed that all occupants had safely exited the structure. He reported heavy smoke billowing from all windows of the residence.
Rescue 2 arrived shortly after and began forcible entry to gain access to the house. Upon entering, fire personnel located the blaze, primarily concentrated in the bedroom area. The fire was brought under control within minutes.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
