On October 1, a female inmate escaped the Hancock County Adult Detention Center at 9:42 a.m.
27-year-old Kasie Mitchell from Tylertown Mississippi was being held at Hancock Detention Center on a hold from the Slidell Police Department stemming from a larceny charge in their jurisdiction.
Mitchell fled from the area on foot and was later picked up by a passerby.
She has no history of violent tendencies, according to police.
