A police pursuit early Friday had eight people being treated for their injuries.
The pursuit began around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 49, accoring
A Pearl police officer attempted to stop a Dodge Charger without a license plate, and it ran, according to officials. The officer chased after it.
When the car reached South Jackson, there was a crash at Ellis Avenue and Robinson Road.
The suspect was injured along with a passenger in the Charger, and also injured six people from the other vehicle, all juveniles.
Officers found a stolen gun and some marijuana in the suspect vehicle. Charges are possible, Flynn said.
All were treated for their injuries, Flynn said.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
