A construction worker fell off of the roof at East Rankin Academy yesterday and died.
According to Rankin County Coroner David Ruth. He has been identified as Timothy Brister.
Mike Word, with Rankin County Emergency Management Operations, said that he fell approximately 20 feet and had severe head trauma. He was life-flighted to the hospital but later died.
He did have fall protection and was not clipped in at the time of the accident.
The Pelahatchie Volunteer Fire Department, Pafford Ambulance, and Rankin EOC all responded to the accident.
