On Monday at approximately 11:45 p.m., Hattiesburg Police responded to an armed carjacking in the 6000 block of Hwy 98.

Two black males had stolen a vehicle with the engine running and an adolescent inside. Fortunately, the child was able to exit the car unharmed as the suspects began to drive away.

The stolen vehicle was located a few hours later, around 4 a.m., in the 3600 block of Campbell Loop. The owner was informed of the recovery, but the suspects remain at large.
