Capitol Police have apprehended 23-year-old Cleon Walker in connection with the July 17 shooting at the Daiquiri Bar in Jackson.

The incident resulted in one death and multiple injuries.

Walker has been charged with murder and five counts of aggravated assault.

The shooting happened on a busy night at the popular local bar, where several patrons were injured in what witnesses described as a chaotic scene.

The Capitol Police Department, along with local law enforcement, conducted a thorough investigation leading to Walker’s arrest.

“This arrest is a testament to the diligent work of our law enforcement officers,” said a spokesperson for the Capitol Police. “We commend all those involved in the investigation and subsequent arrest.”
