The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Calhoun County School District is launching a new initiative together.
They want to put buckets in each classroom of Calhoun County called S.A.F.E.R. (Supplies Are For Emergency Response).
These buckets will hold emergency supplies, i.e. a tourniquet, a shower curtain, wipes, a first aid kit, toiletries, and any other supplies desired by the staff.
They are asking for the community’s help and they are working with Home Depot for the donation of 240 buckets and first aid kits. They have not secured these as of yet.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department is asking the community to help with cash donations and or the actual supplies to be donated so they can continue to make schools safer.
Please call 662-412-5000 if you or your organization are willing to help them achieve their goal quickly.
