The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man they say assaulted, shot, and burned the body of an elderly woman on Saturday.

According to the SCSO Facebook page, Sammy Patrick is considered armed and dangerous. He was previously wanted on multiple felony warrants for auto theft and burglary in Scott County as well as the surrounding counties.

Patrick is facing capital murder charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities say the homicide took place around 2 p.m. Saturday on Old Jackson Road.
