JACKSON — The City of Jackson is accepting applications for a volunteer training program designed to help residents identify and report code enforcement concerns in their neighborhoods.
The Volunteer Code Enforcement Community Training + Action program will offer a one-week training cohort limited to 15 participants, according to the city.
Volunteers will receive guidance on safely observing assigned areas, documenting potential code concerns and submitting reports to the city for review and follow-up. No previous experience is required.
Applications are due Aug. 27. Residents interested in participating can reserve a spot by emailing [email protected].
