Wanted, former Jackson Police officer Marcus Johnson is in custody, according to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade.
Johnson is accused of killing a man at an apartment complex in North Jackson.
He was arrested after a high-speed chase involving MHP, Highway Patrol, and Warren County law enforcement.
Witnesses said that the suspect car was traveling over 100 mph and Louisiana law enforcement put down spike strips and took out the front tires on the vehicle.
He is charged with the murder of Carlos Collins who was found dead at the Tapestry Northridge Apartments on Tuesday.
