Halloween Weather: Highs in the 50s, potential freeze tomorrow

Mary Apel

Low RHs along with breezy conditions will increase our fire danger threat for today. The biggest threats will be across areas south of the I-20 corridor and east of I-55. Open burning is discouraged across the majority of the region and make sure to heed local burn bans.

Mostly sunny skies will prevail today with breezy northerly winds. A couple of showers are possible over the Pine Belt Region. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Temperatures Wednesday morning will fall near freezing. The first freeze of the year is possible for areas north of the Interstate 20 corridor, while temperatures near freezing can’t be ruled out south of the Interstate 20 corridor. Take precautions now to protect any sensitive and unprotected vegetation.
