Tupelo police ask for help solving year-old homicide

Do you know who killed Jermaine Berghuis? Contact Tupelo Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

Jermaine Berghuis was shot in Tupelo last February and died a month later, and police are still looking for his killer.

Tupelo police have asked for the public’s help in finding anyone who may know anything about this shooting.

Berghuis was shot multiple times on February 5, 2021 on Lakeview Drive. On March 8, Berghuis died as a result of the gunshot wounds. Since that time the Tupelo Police Department has been actively pursuing the case, trying to track down any information on who might have been involved.

The investigators assigned to this case are asking anyone with information pertaining to this case to contact Tupelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS (8477), or download the P3 Tip App and leave an anonymous tip that way.
