Louisiana woman arrested after Marion Co shooting that left one dead, two wounded

A Louisiana woman is behind bars after multiple people were shot Tuesday night in Marion County.

According to Marion County Sheriff Berkeley Hall, deputies were called to the area of Highway 587 in Foxworth just before midnight, where witnesses reported hearing gunfire and seeing two people flee the scene.

Jada Jefferson, 20, was pronounced dead after being shot multiple times.

21-year-old Hannah Gomez was airlifted to Forrest General hospital where she is in critical condition.

Another male victim was treated at a local hospital and released with minor injuries.

Deputies tracked down and arrested 19-year-old Kyndall Carter of Bogalusa, Louisiana. Carter is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators are still working to track down a second person of interest: Jerliyah Keishali Pinestraw of Bogalusa, Louisiana.
