A man was arrested after Hattiesburg police caught him allegedly trying to burglarize a vehicle.
Ashton Holder, 30, of Hattiesburg, was arrested in the 100 block of Grand Drive around 10 a.m. after officers responded to a report of an auto burglary in progress.
Holder attempted to run, and was taken into custody a short distance away, near Hardy Street.
Holder has been charged with one count of auto burglary, and booked into the Forrest County Jail. Additional charges are pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
