A Lauderdale teen is behind bars after police say he kidnapped a baby.
Investigators say it happened in the 8300 block of Poplar Springs Drive Thursday morning around 10am.
According to police, a 911 call came in from a woman claiming saying someone had broken in and taken the 10-month-old child. She said she knew the alleged kidnapper, and that his name was Jakoyius Ruffin. A watch was also taken from the home.
Deputies found Ruffin at his home where he was arrested. The baby was safe inside the home.
During the execution of a search warrant, a gun was also found inside the house.
Ruffin, 17, is charged with three counts of kidnapping, one count of burglary and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.
