A woman is dead in Jackson after police say she was shot to death sitting in her car.

A release from Jackson Police Department spokesman Sam Brown says the incident occurred around 10:30 PM Saturday at Dalton Street near Winter Street.

Authorities say Antoinette Robinson was sitting inside her vehicle near that location when an unknown shooter fired multiple shots into her car.

No suspect information is available at this time.
