Bond set on Tupelo burglary suspect

On November 29, at approximately 10:00 am, Tupelo Police were advised of a residential burglary on Kenmar Lane.

Officers were already in the area in reference to a report of a wanted adult male being on the property at Hilldale Apartments (320 Monument).

The suspect in both incidents was Tyrel Cornell (24 y/o male, Tupelo, AKA Milwaukee). Cornell was quickly located on Ida Street and detained. Cornell had been arrested for felon in possession of a firearm on 05-17-2021 and there was an active felony (capias) warrant on him. Cornell was arrested for that capias.

Burglary Charges were also filed on Cornell for the Kenmar Lane incident. On Wednesday Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set bond for the Burglary at $100,000.
