A man is behind bars in Pike County on human trafficking charges.

A release from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office states that they, along with the Mississippi Bureaus of Narcotics and Investigation, received information about possible human trafficking in their county.

On Friday, tips led law enforcement to the Days Inn in McComb, where authorities located a missing juvenile from Texas who had been missing for over a year.

James Joseph Thibo of Lafayette, LA, was arrested and charged procuring prostitution – first offense and possession of a controlled substance. This case is still under investigation with other state and federal agencies.

If anyone has information on human trafficking, please call the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 601-783-6767 or anonymous calls can be made to Crimestoppers at 888-755-8810.
