Jackson remains well on track to have a record-breaking homicide count this year as a 20-year old Jackson man was shot and killed early this morning.

Jackson Police say they are investigating that homicide that occurred earlier this morning near Fortification and Pearl St.

Jordan Walker was shot multiple times while in a vehicle, which crashed near Fortification and State Street. Investigators are still gathering information to determine the location of the incident.

Walker was transported by AMR to the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

So far police don’t know a suspect or motive at this time.
