Southaven store employee arrested for allegedly calling in bomb threat

A store employee is under arrest in Southaven after police say she called in a bomb threat.

According to Southaven Police Department, a call came in just before 3 p.m. that there was a bomb at Marshall’s department store on Goodman Road. Officers were dispatched to the scene and evacuated the surrounding areas.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was called to assist in the investigation. The property in and around Marshall’s was searched and no bomb was found.

The investigation led Southaven poice to Marshall’s employee Patricia Lanshaw, 20. The Southaven resident was charged with one count of threats by electronic media.

Lanshaw has no bond at this time.
