A man is dead after a crash on Highway 26 in George County.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, it happened Thursday around 6:23 a.m. when a 1995 GMC Sierra driven by Cody Allen Rogers, 21, of Lucedale, was traveling west on Highway 26. A Western Star log truck was traveling east at the same time, and the two vehicles collided.
A release from MHP says the GMC Sierra overturned and Rogers was ejected. He received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The log truck left the road and jackknifed, crashing into several trees.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
