A man shot to death in Jackson today was killed by a suspect wearing a clown mask and shooting from the passenger side of a white Honda Accord, police said.

Jackson police say the shooting occurred around 5 pm today in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

According to a release from Jackson Police Department, Demarco Travis, 23, was shot multiple times while standing in the driveway. Travis was transported to UMMC by private vehicle where he was ultimately pronounced dead of his injuries.

The suspect or suspects were seen in a white Honda Accord. The front passenger was wearing a clown mask when he opened fire, police said.
