A former Southwest Mississippi Community College soccer player has been charged in connection to a “forcible” rape, according to a report made by The Laurel Leader.
Raquaivious Clark, 23, from Laurel, was charged with rape by the Laurel Police Department.
The Police Chief of Laurel, Tommy Cox has decided to not release a lot of information about the case in order to protect the victim.
Authorities claim that the victim knew Clark.
The rape was called “forcible” by officials.
Forcible rape is different from aggravated rape in terms of the degree of force employed for the unlawful sexual act and the extent to which the victim resists.
Clark’s bond was set at $25,000 by Judge Kyle Robertson in Laurel Municipal Court.
