Shots rang out on Hwy 39 North last night leaving one dead behind the wheel.
A person was in the median on 39 North near the Citgo gas station when a car pulled up behind them and opened fire.
The driver of the car slumped over the steering wheel and the car rolled into the ditch. The victim was pronounced deceased later at a local hospital.
