The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer of a Crystal Springs man is now at $7,750.

Alex Rosamond was fatally shot in his sleep at his home on Earl Knight Road in Crystal Springs in August. Through the early parts of the investigation, police looked at angles including suicide and homicide, and so far his death remains unsolved. Given the nature of the case, not much information has been released. Rosamond was a man who knew a lot of people and had a very active social life, meaning there have been numerous leads to follow since August 11, 2021 when he was killed.

Rosamond had been a particular fan of the St. Paddy’s Day parade held in Jackson each year. A post on the Justice For Rosamond page talked about how Saturday’s parade this year would have been like Christmas morning to him.

Several of his friends have become vocal social media advocates, hoping their persistence will bring forward that one piece of information that’s needed to solve the case.

If you know anything at all about Alex Rosamond’s death, a flyer on the “Justice for Rosamond” facebook page says tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477), and all calls and donations for reward money are kept anonymous.
