On Wednesday, Star Volunteer Fire Department was called out to help with traffic control and assist with cleanup of a truck hauling a trailer full of corn that had overturned on Highway 49 at the Dixie Road intersection.
“We purchased several leaf blowers not long ago to make grassfires a little easier on us, but we never would have imagined they would help clean up corn off the side of Hwy 49,” Chief Jackie Squires said. “One thing about our volunteer firefighters is that they are very resourceful.”
A commenter on their Facebook pointed out that it’s a pretty good guess where the deer will be for the next few days .
